Get to town early for a ride to Deal's Gap to test your skills on Tail of the Dragon. Not for the meek, Tail of the Dragon is a mountain road consisting of 318 curves in just 11 short miles. (It's quite possibly the toughest 11 miles this side of the Mississippi.)
Photographers set up shop all along the Dragon, so be sure to look for a snapshot of you and your scoot following the rally on one of their Web sites. Trust us, you might not be able to resist that 8x10 of you in a full lean.
Meet at Scenic City Scooters at 8 a.m. for bagels and coffee. Oh, and have a full tank of gas for departure at 9 a.m. sharp. You must preregister for the ride. (This is an all-day event.)
The ride from Chattanooga travels up and a long a mountain ridge, so this ride is limited to vintage 150cc bikes and up and 125cc modern bikes and up. Be prepared for a full day of riding; almost four hours each way. Please feel free to meet us at Deal's Gap if you're coming from the east. Please send email to RSVP for the ride.

Park your scoot at Coolidge Park (map) or across from Pisa Pizza (map) on River Street.

Join us for the VCOA member meeting followed by a presentation by two-stroke tunner Norrie Kerr at 10:30 a.m. Break at noon for a bite to eat and be ready to ride from the Choo Choo at 1 p.m.

Rides
1:30 onward
Rides, rides, rides. Head out for both rides, one short-ish, one long. There will be a stop at Coker Tire at 2:30pm. While we don't want to give away all the details just yet, just plan on being sick of beautiful scenery and mountain roads by the end of the weekend. Chattanooga sits between several mountains, all with amazing views and even more amazing roads. We also have cool factories galore for those who prefer city riding and sightseeing.

Pub Crawl

Join us for a Pub Crawl Chattanooga style. Scenic City Scooters is sponsoring the night of fun, which includes Lamar's (home of Tennessee's strongest drinks, the yummiest fried chicken, and tunes by DJ Grover), the Pickle Barrel, and Caffeine, music, a dance party, and party shuttles to get you everywhere safely. The shuttles also will travel back to the Choo Choo meaning no need for drinking and riding.
